New faces
Production for the third season started last September, which is also when Netflix UK revealedthree new stars who would be joining the cast, and we’re excited to see what’s in store for them.
Dua Saleh, a Sudanese-American artist, will be playing a recurring role as Cal. Her character is going head to head with Moordale’s new headmistress, played also by a new cast member, and Girls star, Jemima Kirk. The last addition to the stellar cast is Jason Isaacs, who will come on the show as Mr. Groff’s older brother. Isaacs previously played Lucius Malfoy, in the infamous Harry Potter series.
Fans are already getting revved up about seeing these new actors on the show, but there’s a lot more to look forward to!
Thickening plotlines
Asa Butterfield, gave us a little glimpse of season three, during an interview with The Guardian. He mentions that there will be a time-jump since the last season, and he says:
Otis is back at school but he’s got different things on his plate. He’s grown up a bit and become slightly more sassy. It’s been fun to portray his newfound charisma. Don’t worry, though, he’s still tragically awkward too.
Otis will also be digging deeper into his feelings about the sex clinic, and of course, his relationship with Maeve. Will they or won’t they? We’ll just have to wait and watch.
Meanwhile, Gillian Anderson has been teasing her fans with hilarious shots of the set. Here’s a little sneak peek!
