I’m A Celeb Grace Dent’s early exit from the show was long time coming, here’s why

I’m A Celeb campmates are soldiering through the ordeals in the jungle. The journey that started with 10 campmates and was joined by 2 latecomers is now left for only 11 campmates and less than weeks of time. Grace Dent - the masterchef star - became the first one to leave the show on Sunday (November 26). While many viewers saw she has been feeling miserable in the jungle, the real reason behind her exit has now been revealed.

Here’s why Grace Dent left I’m A Celebrity early

Grace Dent sensationally quit the show after she was pushed to ‘mental and physical’ limits. Her pals revealed that they were concerned about her as she didn’t appear to be her true self in the jungle at all and looked ‘broken.’

The 50-year-old was immediately put on a flight back to the UK after exit from the jungle and even at the airport she looked ‘gaunt and downcast.’ A source told The Sun:

Grace is hugely relieved to be out of I’m A Celeb. She pulled the plug because she couldn’t carry on, mentally or physically.
It has been incredibly difficult for her and it all became too much.

Grace has previously slammed ITV's jungle adventure as ‘vile and disgusting’ and her participation alone this year was a surprise for I’m A Celeb fans. The Source added:

The cold and wet weather, coupled with the punishing tasks and lack of food, took its toll.
She has lost a lot of weight and looks gaunt. Her friends just want her to get home.

Grace’s loved ones and friends were able to see their star lose her sparkle in the jungle when she refused to take part in political discussions. The source revealed:

Grace is incredibly talented and very passionate about politics. When she failed to get involved, it was clear she was feeling defeated.
It is the first anniversary of her dear dad George’s death in a few weeks, too, so that would have no doubt been playing on her mind.
Getting out is the best thing she could have done. I’m a Celebrity is a really tough show and it’s not for everyone.

Grace decided to leave the jungle after she was nominated for the latest Bushtucker trial Down the Tubes - where she was replaced by Danielle Harold.
