One of the most common things celebs say on I’m A Celeb is how they don’t know what they’re doing on the show or why they signed up for it. And this habit of so-called ‘not knowing’ of the celebs in the jungle has pissed off English financial journalist and broadcaster – Martin Lewis.

There’s always a reason
According to Metro.co.uk, Martin tweeted to express his frustration 15 minutes into the launch episode. Apparently, the Money Saving Expert founder is already rolling his eyes at the contestants.
In his tweet, he called the celebs out and wrote:
I do roll my eyes when I hear "I don't know what I'm doing here" on #ImACeleb.
It’s an entertainment TV booking. You’re on there for one or more of… 1) a paycheque 2) to boost your profile 3) to rehabilitate your image… Simples
He then also replied to a follower and confirmed that he has said ‘no’ to the jungle more than once and would only do a reality show if it interests him. He said:
I’d only do one-off things so single programmes as I don’t have any time for training or to be off work. And they’d have to be something I’d genuinely enjoy doing.
Mixed response
While Martin didn’t take any names in his tweet, his comment came after radio presenter Chris Moyles confessed on the show that he didn’t know what he was doing on the show. Some viewers were sympathetic and one of them wrote:
Awwww I love @ChrisMoyles. “I don’t really know what I’m doing here” 😥 I think he’s going to be great!! (sic)
Another added:
‘I’ll level with you I don’t really know what I’m doing here” Aw @ChrisMoyles #ImACeleb 💔 (sic)
The comments ranged from people supporting him for ‘spitting facts’ and telling ‘hard truths’ to some viewers also urging him to not be ‘so cynical’ about celebs. A fan also insisted that the celebs could have taken part ‘to have an experience that money can’t buy.’
