Love Island, the nation’s most-watched reality TV show, recently introduced two new bombshells to the cast and while one appeared to be mixing well with the other islanders, the public won’t stand for him and his ignorant tattoos.

Chris Taylor, a 28-year-old business developer from Leicester, is proudly showcasing his chest tatts (just like other islanders do) but the artwork exhibited has caught the attention of The Native American Rights Fund for all the wrong reasons.
Speaking to Heart.co.uk, they have attempted to explain why the tattoos are so immoral; “The use of these images was often rooted in an extensive history of abuse, discrimination, and conquest.”
“The growing body of research around the use of these images shows that they have a harmful impact on youth…these images result in lower self-esteem, lower sense of community worth and a lower view of personal potential for Native youth.”
Most problematic of all, is that lying under the images is a quote which translates to “I came, I saw, I conquered”. While it is possible that this is an ignorant coincidence, the quote adds an unfortunate sting to the already hurtful imagery.
