Unspoken romance
The impalpable chemistry between Ross and Rachel was unparalleled, and now we know why! A huge part of it was actually real. During the Friends reunion, James Cordon asked the cast whether there were any romantic connections between the members, to which both Aniston and Schwimmer looked at each other, and confessed that there actually was something going on behind the scenes. Schwimmer revealed:
The first season I had a major crush on Jen—we were both crushing hard on one another, but it was like two ships passing ‘cause one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary.
Aniston also admitted to catching a few feelings, she said:
And I remember saying one time to David: 'It's going to be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television.
Setting boundaries
The pair divulged that they would often cuddle on the couch during their breaks and while they thought that no one would notice their innermost desires, boy were they wrong. It seems all the cast members knew that they had a thing for each other.
