Just recently, the Longford model, Maura Higgins, was branded a “predator” by online trolls and Piers Morgan after she was filmed straddling professional boxer, Tommy Fury, in the hopes of claiming a kiss.
But it was Joe Garratt that appeared even worse inciting Women’s Aid to speak out against his “controlling” behaviour in relation to his current love interest in the villa, Lucie Donlan.
The Sandwich man was further slammed online as people claimed he exhibited borderline “abusive” behaviour, mainly because he expressed concern at Lucie’s distance from the other girls in the villa and moreover her continued friendship with previous love interest, Tommy Fury.
After appearing on Aftersun, Caroline Flack’s Love Island spin-off show, viewers were satisfied that he may have been harshly misrepresented. One fan tweeted, “Take back my comments about Joe on Aftersun he definitely is a nice lad badly edited and portrayed in the Villa…”
