Will Love Island 2021 be filmed in Majorca?
The source claimed:
Besides the extra cast, they’ve incorporated Covid safety measures and increased checks on contestants’ mental health. Everyone is very excited. Restrictions are easing, the Euros football is on and Love Island is back in Majorca. What more could you want?
The 2021 Love Island villa is reportedly being prepared in Sant Llorenç des Cardassar, the small village on the outskirts of which the 2017, 2018 and 2019 series of Love Island were filmed. It’s not clear whether producers are using the same villa again but it will reportedly feature an infinity pool and extra-large hot tub.
How long will Love Island 2021 be?
The most recent summer series of Love Island have lasted for 8 weeks each and it seems likely Love Island 2021 will follow this pattern. Applicants have been informed that producers ‘are looking for contestants to spend up to ten weeks abroad.’ Presuming this includes two weeks of quarantine before entering the villa, that would mean eight weeks in the villa.
The series could also be starting as early as May as producers have asked budding Islanders to notify them ‘of any dates you aren’t available for between May-Aug.’ The most recent series of Love Island have run from early June to late July so it sounds like producers are aiming for similar dates but keeping their options open.
