Liam Reardon and Millie Court were crowned the winners of Love Island 2021 last night—and it doesn’t sound like they’ll let distance get in the way of their romance.

After almost two whole months in the villa together, Liam Reardon and Millie Court are leaving Majorca as Love Island 2021 winners—and official boyfriend and girlfriend. The pair seem totally besotted with each other—but as all ex-Islanders know, things can change very quickly outside the villa bubble.

Liam and Millie—the new Gavin and Stacey?

Many fans have compared Liam and Millie to Gavin and Stacey—as Millie hails from Essex like Gavin while Liam comes from Wales like Stacey. Some fans of the couple are worried that the 200 or so miles between their hometowns could put the brakes on their relationship once they return to the UK.

Liam to move to Essex?

According to Liam’s sister Niamh, that won’t be an issue. She said:

Liam, I don’t think he was ever going to settle in Merthyr anyways, so I think it’s just easier for him to go up closer to Millie. He’s got loads of friends around the Essex and London area anyway, so I just think, it’s just easier for him to go.

In her interview with Capital South Wales FM, she also revealed she reckons Millie will fit right into their family, saying:

Millie’s family just seems so down to Earth when I watched the episode the other night. I honestly think we’ll all get on like a house on fire so I’m really looking forward to meeting her.

Liam and Millie now seem to be truly over the drama caused by his kiss with Lillie in Casa Amor. After being voted Love Island winners, Millie had the choice to keep the £50,000 prize for herself or share it with Liam. To the disappointment of some fans, she chose to split the prize—proving she was in it for love, not money.
