Things are about to get much more interesting for the next crop of Love Islanders. As it turns out, bosses of the hit ITV2 show are looking to change things up and find a new location to film the show.

A new villa for series 8 of Love Island
Back in series one and two of the show, Love Island was filmed at a property in southern Majorca's Santanyi region. The following season, they relocated to Sant Llorenç des Cardassar in the north-east. Since, they have been using the same villa to film the show since 2017.
According to one source, the newest property that will host the Islanders will remain on the Spanish island of Majorca but will most likely be moving to 'the foothills of mountains, by a lake or to the coast.'

An element to refresh the show
An insider revealed to The Sun:
ITV bosses think this is the right moment to refresh this element of the show, just as they did in series three back in 2017 Bosses are conscious of the fact that this is also an opportunity to consider all the new elements they could introduce to enhance the show even further.

For fans of Love Island this is huge news and they'll be eager to see what the new villa looks like and how much it could change the show.
The source also confirmed that the newest property will also have a fire pit and swimming pool, with further details likely to come out in the summer, just in time for the latest series.
