Love Island bosses dump two Islanders from the villa as new twists await Islanders

Our Summer essential is back! ITV2 and ITVX aired Summer Love Island’s 23rd episode tonight and 10 sexy singletons embarked on an eventful journey of love. Show host Maya Jama has entered the villa twice with unexpected twists in this series and viewers are loving how messy this series is.

As Casa Amor is just around the corner, a lot has happened in the villa since Molly Marsh's brutal dumping and Kady McDermott's dramatic entry into the villa. how bosses set the tone right with the ‘expect the unexpected’ vibe of the show since the first episode.

Summer Love Island's Mehdi and Mal dumped from the villa tonight

Yesterday's episode (June 26) gave the power to the viewers to vote for their favourite Islanders. Narrator Iain Stirling revealed that the contestants with the least number of votes will be in danger of being dumped from the villa. The results tonight shocked Islanders as Mehdi and Mal were dumped from the villa. Show bosses didn't reveal the bottom 3 contestants but simply sent texts for dumping the islanders with the least amount of votes.

Mehdi had a connection with Whitney and his recent behaviour has ticked fans off so his departure wasn't much of a surprise. However, Whitney was visibly sad. Meanwhile, Mal and Sammy had a good thing going on in the villa and it genuinely seemed like they had a good connection but she was an easy choice to dump for viewers in comparison to the many OG girls in the villa they've all grown to like in the past few weeks and days.

Summer Love Island fans bittersweet after double dumping

Many fans and viewers online are rejoicing after Mehdi got dumped tonight. In their opinion, Mehdi has pushed his dumping onto himself after his recent obnoxious behaviour with Whitney. Happy with Mehdi's dumping, one fan tweeted:

I feel like producers are just seeing who we dislike and making up ways to dump them 😭

However, Leah was a more popular choice for dumping than Mal and some of them are sad to see her go. One tweeted:
