While four happy couples have just left the Love Island villa, one couple of former Islanders have called time on their relationship. Rebecca Gormley and Biggs Chris coupled up after starring on Winter Love Island together at the beginning of 2020. However, they’ve now revealed they split up a while back.

Biggs and Rebecca split
Rebecca broke the news in an Instagram Q&A, telling fans:
We have broken up. Everyone is asking me this question and the reason why I haven’t told you any sooner is that I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing. And it is the best thing for us so yeah, we have broke up.
Biggs also addressed the split on his Instagram story, telling followers:
Obviously the news is out, me and Rebecca broke up. We didn’t end on bad terms at all. It’s just, I’ve got my thing going, she’s got hers. Also I’m getting older, you get me? So family time, I wanna build a family. But we didn’t end on bad terms at all.
He also responded to claims he didn’t care about the split by saying:
I do care. I just hide pain with smiling and keeping jokes and that. But yeah, everything is all good. The show must go on. Life goes on, just need to keep working hard, keep smiling and work towards your dreams.
Biggs and Rebecca relationship
Despite not actually coupling up when they were in the Love Island villa, Biggs and Rebecca soon rekindled things on the outside world and went on to become one of the strongest couples formed on last year’s show. They even discussed getting married and moving to Scotland together earlier this year.
