Love Island USA 2020 runners-up Cely Vasquez and Johnny Middlebrooks have officially split up. Cely and Johnny got together on Day 2 of this summer’s series, which took place in a Las Vegas hotel, and stayed coupled up throughout the show. The news of their split will come as a shock to fans, as they seemed publicly loved up just a few weeks ago.

Cely and Johnny ‘no longer together’
Cely confirmed the split on social media, writing: 'Because you've all been such a close part of our relationship, I wanted to share with you that Johnny and I are no longer together. While our relationship has been public from the start, I do ask that you respect this decision and our privacy during this time.’ The 24-year-old Californian continued:
There is no reason to speculate, I am so thankful for our time together, but now it's simply time for each of us to focus on our personal journey. I hope that you continue to support each of us individually as we move forward, heal and continue to follow our dreams.
Meanwhile, Johnny also confirmed the split was amicable, writing on his Insta story: ‘Thank you so much for everything. I appreciate the time we spent together on this unforgettable journey. I will forever cherish the fun we had, the laughs we shared, and the memories we created. Thank you to all of the fans who loved and supported us the whole way through. Much love.’
Which Love Island USA couples are still together?
Love Island USA 2020 winners Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew haven’t officially split but they have been absent from each other’s Instagram feeds since November, leading some fans to believe they’re over. In November, they said they were ‘taking things slowly’. Surprisingly, the couple that seem to be going strongest are Mackenzie Dipman and Connor Trott, who split whilst in the villa but reconnected on the outside. They are very much still together, with Mackenzie writing on Instagram yesterday ‘I love this man with all my heart’. Aww!
