Love Island is currently listed as the nation’s most watched reality TV show. The dating show involves a group of singletons who are stranded on a mysterious island and must find their dream match in order to survive. Or, in real terms we could agree that it involves a group of attractive young people spending a large portion of their summer holidays relaxing at a private Majorcan resort while they attempt to find love at the same time.

Despite recent controversy surrounding this type of show, Love Island’s undeniable success has inspired the company to expand overseas. In light of how well the Australian version hit it off, ITV bosses are keen to venture further in an attempt to get the U.S.A on board.

While the official Instagram account has already racked up a whopping 15,000 followers, it seems that not all Brits are feeling the new idea. One user offered some constructive criticism regarding the commentary style, explaining, “The US version needs a narrator as equally funny and snarky as @iandoesjokes”. While others decided to put it more bluntly stating, “never gonna be as good as Love island UK”.
