Love Island’s Harriett Blackmore breaks silence on viral video of her arguing with a group of women

Love Island bosses announced the 12 sexy singletons this week who will be entering the villa in hopes of finding love. Little did they know that one of these 12 would become popular even before the show started. That is the case of Harriet Blackmore who is accused of having a boyfriend outside of Love Island.Claims about the woman are now extending as she is having to deal with another viral video.

Reportedly, Harriett was filmed defending an unnamed Premier League football player after he was accused of attacking a group of women. Though ITV has responded to claims about her alleged boyfriend the channel have yet to comment on this.

In the video that has taken the internet by storm, Harriett is seen wading in after the woman filming points at a man - who hid his identity in a cap and hooded coat. According to MailOnline, the women filming the video accused the man of ‘beating them up,’ while Harriett defends him by saying:

He's a Premier League football player, so please leave him alone.

One of the girls of the other group responded with ‘I don't give a f**k’ before Harriett argued a little more and took their phones away to stop them from filming. After the video went viral, Harriett defended herself and claimed that she was ‘trying to defuse the situation.’ Speaking to the Mirror, she explained:

I think the video was so many years ago…Like, if you guys have seen it, you can obviously see all I'm trying to do is defuse the situation.

It was actually one of my really good friends, who is in the public eye, he's a football player. These like fans and people were sort of antagonising him. So yeah, there was no like... there's nothing really to say about that. I was just trying to mediate a situation and get them away from him.

Harriett Blackmore labelled as a ‘gold digger’

What’s more? One of Harriett's clips shared by Love Island has made fans believe she’s a gold digger. Harriett is seen explaining in the video how she works in luxury shopping and often flirts with rich businessmen - who she described as ‘exactly my type.’

Seeing how Harriett is so open about her type, one fan took to X and wrote:

So she’s a GOLDDIGGER then.

While another added:

Send her in a premier league football player and she’ll be sorted.
