Love Island's Mitch brands Ella B 'fake' as fans decode his game plan

Love Island has commenced its final week. The journey of love that started with 10 sexy singletons was joined by 22 bombshells over the course last 7 weeks - including 12 Casa Amor bombshells. ITV2 and ITVX aired Summer Love Island’s 52nd episode tonight. There are only 6 couples left in the villa and one week before the finale on July 31 reveals who gets crowned the winner of Summer Love Island 2023.

The second edition of 2023 has been an eventful, drama-filled and entertaining journey for the Islanders and viewers.

Love Island fans decode why Mitch thinks Ella B is fake

Love Island villa bid goodbye to Abi and Scott tonight (July 26) after the public vote gave the islanders the bottom 3 couples - Mitch and Ella B, Molly and Zach and Scott and Abi. The power to dump a couple was then given to the Islanders and they decided to dump Scott and Abi as they were in a friendship couple.

After the dumping, the Islanders got a text about their final dates which would come with a twist. The Islanders will have to pick the least compatible couple on their dates for the next eviction. Soon after this information, Mitch was seen telling the boys in the bedroom that he thinks Ella B is fake.

His confession right before the dates and just after Scott and Abi got evicted has convinced fans that he wants to go out and be with Abi. Taking to Twitter they shared:

Mitch tells the boys he thinks Ella B is fake, knowing they have to vote tomorrow. Mitch wants to go after Abi

Mitch 100% wants abi 😂😂😂 hes vex shes gone now! He knew all along ella b wasnt really interested in him the donut 😂

Now abi has gone he is 100% regretting his decision & misses her I personally think abi is better than Ella b but the villa would of been shit without Mitch

Mitch saying this about Ella B as soon as Abi/Scott leave is hilarious. He definitely wants to be sent home so he can run to Abi lmao.

Mitch likes Abi end of story … it’s actually insanity. It took for her to leave the villa for him to stop his performative behaviours with Ella B

Many fans also believe that Mitch's ego was hurt by Abi getting to know Scott and so he took his revenge by being with Ella B despite knowing that she doesn't like him. One said:

Mitch only liked Ella B so long as he could use it as a one up on Abi cause why is it the second she leaves you think she’s fake?
