Paige, who won the first-ever winter series of Love Island with her boyfriend Finley Tapp, is aiming to get to the top of the charts this Christmas with a very special John Lennon cover.
John Lennon himself didn’t even make it to the top of the charts with his 1971 songHappy Xmas (War Is Over). But nearly 50 years later, Turley is giving the song a second chance.
The Love Island star has released the song, which originally peaked at the number two spot, along with a music video in support of the charity Action for Children.
The music video was released as part of the singer’s Youtube debut with all of the proceeds from the ad revenue going towards the charity. A source revealed:
After the turbulent year the nation has faced, Paige hopes this will bring some light and a moment of reflection as we head into the festive period.
The source continued to state that Paige has been working with Action For Children this year, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children.
She has been working with Action For Children this year and wanted to do something to support them.
This is the second song that Paige has released as the Scottish bombshell, who previously dated Lewis Capaldi, also released a cover of Artful Dodger’s Movin’ Too Fast back in July. Paige spoke to Cosmopolitan at the time stating:
Since leaving the Love Island villa I’ve been working on original songs but wanted to start putting some music out as soon as possible.
However, due to the lockdown, Paige has had the opportunity to record some covers withThe House & Garage Orchestraand New State Records.
During lockdown the opportunity to release one of my favourite house tracks with a36-piece instrument arrangement was a total dream come true.
Paige’s Love Island talent portion was also not the first time she’s sung on television as the star also made an appearance on Britain’s Got Talent back in 2012. Paige stunned audiences and judges with her belting skills when she was just 14!
Clearly, this singer is destined for big things!
