The mum concerned has sparked a heated online debate regarding how old our kids should be in order to be granted permission to follow the post-watershed programme.
To seek advice on the issue, she took to the parenting form Netmums to pose the following question, “At what age would you let your child watch Love Island? Is seven acceptable or would you wait until they were a teenager to allow them to watch the show?”
However it appeared clear from the slew of horrified comments that many felt the programme was inappropriate for younger audiences and some were baffled that any child should at that stage be interested in the show, with one user admitting, “My 7 year old plays with dolls, reads stories about fairies and unicorns.”
This follows the ongoing controversy surrounding the show in recent years for their lack of body diversity amongst contestants. Check out the video to find out more!
