Michelle Obama highlighted the overruling purpose of their project, explaining in a recent article:
"We think there’s something here for everyone—moms and dads, curious kids, and anyone simply looking for an engaging, uplifting watch at the end of a busy day. We can’t wait to see these projects come to life — and the conversations they’ll generate."
Many of the upcoming projects are set to touch on a variety of relevant topics such as race and class issues, democracy and civil rights with the premise that these shows will have much more benefits than solely their entertainment value.
