It’s safe to say that Piers Morgan isn’t Love Island’s biggest fan. The former journalist and presenter has been outspoken in his criticism of the show – and even threatened to cut his own sons Spencer, Stanley and Albert out of his will if they ever go on it. But that hasn’t stopped him flirting up a storm with ex-Islander Lucie Donlan online.

Lucie, who starred on last summer’s series of the show, took to her Instagram this week to share a sexy snap taken on a recent trip to Bali. She captioned the pic, which shows her posing on a sofa sporting a skimpy bikini top and see-through mesh trousers ‘Only 1 name in my phone that excites me...’.
55-year-old Piers, who has been married to second wife Celia Walden for ten years, was quick to respond ‘Mine?’. Lucie hit right back to Piers’ flirty comment with ‘Spot on. You’re correct haha.’ Whilst they certainly seem an unlikely pairing, this isn’t the first time that Piers and Lucie have publicly flirted.
Last November, they met at ITV’s Palooza event and seem to have gotten on like a house on fire, posing for some cosy red carpet photos together. Piers later shared one to his Insta, captioning it ‘Love Islander meets Brain Cells.. the perfect couple!’ to which Lucie replied ‘Are you sure under all that grey hair?’
Although she ended up dating fellow 2019 Love Islander Joseph Garratt for a while after leaving last year’s villa, Cornish lass Lucie is currently single after they split at the beginning of this year when Joe was spotted getting very cosy with show winner Amber Gill in a nightclub.
