The sisters, who have been feuding on and off for many years, have presented their unstable family dynamics for the world to see on RHOBH. Here’s a brief look at the various events that strained their relationship.
Kyle Richards vs. Kathy Hilton
Kyle, who has been a part of RHOBH from its very first season, has always battled with maintaining a healthy relationship with her sisters, Kim Richards and Kathy Hilton. The sisters, who started as child actors, always had a tinge of competition between them, which soon turned disastrous. From not being on talking terms for a good part of their adult lives to Kathy uninviting Kyle from her daughter Nicki’s wedding, the sisters have been through it all.
The war of the husbands
Adding fuel to the already existing fire, the husbands of Kyle and Kathy had a major rift. Kyle's husband, Mauricio Umansky, once worked with Kathy’s husband, Rick Hilton, in his real estate business. As per Screenrant, they parted ways on bad terms when Rick didn’t make Mauricio a partner in the business. Rick also claimed that Mauricio poached clients from his firm when they parted ways.
The controversial American Woman
Kyle produced a show titled American Woman back in 2015. This show was an ode to their mother - Kathleen Richards. The show depicted the childhood that the sisters had with their mother. But this did not sit well with Kathy, who even initiated to take legal action against Kyle, as she did not want any kind of representation on the show. According to The Things, Kathy and Kyle did not speak to each other for over six months because Kyle decided to make the show.
