The actress, who plays Betty Cooper, shared an LGBTQI+ event in her Instagram story, which took place on Wednesday, June 3rd, in West Hollywood, California. This event was a part of the #BlackLivesMatter movement, spurred on by the death of George Floyd.
This announcement regarding her sexual orientation being made in June is no coincidence. The month of June is ‘Pride Month’ in the US, a month during which many rallies are organised by the LGBTQ community, advocating for more tolerance.
Following her coming-out announcement, the young actress received many messages of support from both her followers and the LGBTQ community.
