The Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott break-up saga has taken another interesting turn as Sam posted a brutal video mocking Zara’s apology to his Insta feed this week. He obviously had second thoughts about it as he quickly took it down from his Instagram feed–but not before the Internet saw.

All is fair in love and war?
In the clip, Sam sits in front of a platter of chicken and lip-syncs both himself and Zara as she begs:
You can do it, you can do it. You can! Please I don't want to throw this away. I genuinely believe with my whole heart we can get through this. I really do.
Sam captioned the video:
When the Nandos family platter defeats you. If I can't laugh at my uncomfortable moments there's nothing left to do but cry.
Whilst the video seems pretty harsh, Zara seemed to take it quite well, as she commented ‘oh golly’ followed by a series of crying-laughing and face-palm emojis. Could this be proof that the exes are now totally over their dramatic split and able to laugh about it? Could they even be back together?

Either way, many fans thought the video was hilarious. One wrote:

Zara and Sam were together for 16 months before they split in September when Sam discovered that Zara had cheated on him early on in their relationship. Before the shock break-up, they had seemed totally loved-up, even going so far as to discuss marriage as Sam vowed to propose to Zara by the end of 2020.
