Rumours resurfacing once more
Although no confirmation has been officially released by anyone yet, rumours about a potential reboot have been circulating for a while after the third instalment of the Sex and the City movies fizzled. I’d like to see where all of them are. I’m curious, the world has changed even since the movie… technology and social media. Add to that, sexual politics and the #MeToo movement and Time’s Up… I think Carrie Bradshaw would just be so greedy to share her feelings and thoughts.
A missing cast member
As reported on Page Six, an apparent reunion is in the works but not everyone is too keen on the idea of coming back. Kim Cattrall has time and again made it clear that she has no interest in participating in a possible reunion due to what she says is:
an empowered decision in my life to end one chapter and start another
And as if that wasn't enough of a justification, Parker and Cattrall have been said to never have been very friendly contrary to what we saw on the show.
In 2018, when Parker expressed condolences for the death of one of Cattrall's close family members, Cattrall's response was very telling of her disdain for her co-star by replying back:
Your continuous reaching out is a painful reminder of how cruel you really were then and now. Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend.
So, if there is reboot of the show, will you be watching without Samantha's iconic one-liners?
