Sherif Lanre, the 20-year-old chef and rugby player, made up one of the original cast members on this year’s show but following one incident he was swiftly axed and left to think over his actions.
At the time of his exit, Sherif released a vague statement to address the decision. “In a case of poor judgement, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.”
The contestant has since revealed in an interview with The Sun, “I did kick Molly-Mae in the groin area but it was an accident and she 100% was not injured afterwards.”
While originally Love Island stated that “it was mutually agreed”, it has now come to light that Sherif was woken before other contestants, instructed to go to the beach hut and subsequently informed he would have to leave for breaking the code of conduct.
