Most of us know Matthew Perry as Chandler Bing, the hilarious, sarcastic character from the popular sitcom, Friends. And we also know that the comedic actor suffered from substance abuse in the past.

In 1997, Perry endured a jet ski accident, which introduced him to opiates. He became addicted. Perry talked about popping the pills after the accident: “I did and I felt better than I ever felt in my entire life. I had a big problem with pills and alcohol, and I couldn’t stop.”
He also struggled with alcoholism, but he vowed to never drink on the set of Friends. However, that didn’t stop him from shaking profusely backstage. Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) commented on his situation: “When Matthew was sick, it was not fun. We were just hopelessly standing on the sidelines… hurting a lot. Matthew is one [of] the funniest people… he’s charming and hilarious. Most of our hard laughs came from Matthew.”
In 2001, Perry went to rehab, and reports declare that he’s been sober ever since, but the most recent photo shows otherwise. And earlier this year he shared a worrying tweet: “I got kicked out of therapy today."
Hopefully, he’s doing okay! Perhaps, Perry had a bad sleep, and he didn’t feel like looking nice for his restaurant outing in LA. We can only hope! Want to see the latest image of Perry? Tune in to our video.
