Lucie Donlan and Joe Garrett appeared to be entirely loved up just 24 hours into the villa providing hope nationwide that maybe love at first sight is not just for fairy tales and rom-coms.
The two then shared the first snog of the series and could be seen talking (on repeat) about how shocked they were that they had managed to find “a real connection” so early on in the series.
Unfortunately for fans, and even more so for Joe, just as quick as the pair got together, Tommy Fury put an end to the romance with a heartfelt, “The girl I’d like to couple up with is…(dramatic music)…Lucie.”
Fans are divided over Lucie’s reaction but there is no doubt in our minds that Joe is devastated. Here’s hoping Joe won’t throw in the towel on his “Beach Barbie” just yet but in the meantime let’s remember it’s been 24 hours, dry your eyes, mate!
