For centuries, some people who believe in supernatural powers and mystic have contemplated and tried to decode the meaning of dreams. They might have gone the extra mile to visit sorcerers, pastors, deities or whatever they believe in to interpret their dreams, just like the Greeks and Romans, who believed that dreams have prophetic powers, and therefore should not be ignored.

Experts’ opinion on dreams
While some people take their dreams seriously and go the length and breadth to understand what they mean, others only take it lightly and even blame it on excessive eating before bedtime.
Maybe people make nonsense of dreams mainly because of what renowned neurologists like Sigmund Freud and others have said. According to Freud’s theory, dreams are centered on the notion of repressed longing, the idea that dreams allow us to sort through unresolved, repressed wishes. The Scientific American has written that,
dreaming is the ‘activation-synthesis hypothesis’ which states that dreams don’t actually mean anything: they are merely electrical brain impulses that pull random thoughts and imagery from our memories.
Noel Fielding’s dream
Well, if you agree with these thoughts, then wait until you hear the story of how Matt Lucas got his breakthrough gig on The Great British Bake Off onChannel 4.
Narrating how he got his presenting job on the show, Matt said Noel Fielding put in a word for him after he had a dream about him.
He told MyLondon that prior to joining Noel on the show, he had only met him a few times, so it came as a shock:
I’ve no idea why Noel was dreaming about me. He suddenly dreamed that I was stood there alongside him in the Bake Off tent and we were making each other laugh. So when he woke up he got in touch with the producers and said he wanted me on board. It’s very strange because it’s not as if we knew each other very well.
So, after hearing Matt's story, and you are still reluctant about pursuing your dreams, or you fail to help others achieve theirs, a lifetime opportunity may be lost.
