In the meantime, we’ve got an extra peek at the new Islanders with a brand new Love Island trailer. Narrated by Iain Stirling saying: 'This is not a drill. Here they come. Love Island 2021 cast
The new Love Island cast so far has a bit of a smaller age range than previous years. Of the Islanders announced so far, marketing student and Nando’s waitress Liberty Poole is the youngest at 21 years old while fashion blogger Kaz Kamwi, labourer Brad McLelland and lettings manager Faye Winter are the oldest at just 26.
Mental health support for 2021 Love Islanders
ITV have made it clear that they’re putting a big emphasis on protecting Islanders mental health both in the villa and after they come out of the show. They’ve announced new measures added to their duty of care and released a statement asking fans to ‘think before they post’ before announcing the line-up.
Host Laura Whitmore shared a similar message on her Instagram today. Sharing a promo shot of herself, she wrote:
I think we’re all ready for some love! Ahhhhhh! So excited to watch the new islanders. Hope you enjoy talking about them and following their journey and just a reminder to treat them with love, compassion and respect when they leave the show and go back to real life. Caroline I hope we do you proud. One week to go.
