This year’s series of Love Island went ahead under strict hygiene protocols, with all Islanders isolating before and after being in the villa. However, now that they’re back in the UK and their quarantine period is up, there has been an outbreak of COVID-19 among the 2021 cohort with three ex-Islanders testing positive, including Casa Amor’s Amy Day.

Amy Day tests positive for COVID-19
According to The Sun, an insider source revealed:
Amy and the other islanders have all been super careful and stuck to their quarantine time when they arrived back in the UK. But as soon as that was up everyone was excited to see each other and have been hitting the town and now three of them have it.
The source continued:
Amy is single jabbed and had been due to have a second vaccine next week.
She has been feeling really unwell, and is particularly worried about her parents, who are now also getting tested. Amy really wasn’t expecting to get it. She was working as an estate agent before she went in the villa and was in constant contact people—but never caught it then.
The other two Islanders to have caught the virus haven’t been revealed publicly but ex-Islanders Brad McClelland, AJ Bunker, Lillie Haynes, Chuggs Wallis, Georgia Townend, Danny Bibby, Lucinda Strafford, Sam Jackson, Aaron Francis, Jack Barlow, Medhy Malanda, Hugo Hammond and Harry Young were all also at the meal.
Who is Amy Day?
Amy entered Love Island as part of Casa Amor—and was brought back to the main villa by Hugo Hammond. However, their relationship soon fizzled out back in the main villa, and they were soon dumped from the show. She has since slammed him for being ‘fake’ and going ‘hot and cold’ on her.
