Tommy Fury, a 20-year-old professional boxer, entered the show as an island original and Molly-Mae Hague, a social media influencer of the same age, soon joined as a bombshell and the pair soon ventured on their villa relationship.
Following Tommy’s appearance on the show, his brother and mentor, Tyson Fury, expressed concern over the reality stars intentions; “He might get carried away with being a TV reality star rather than a fighting man”.
Moreover, after stating that Love Island was “the last thing [Tommy] needs when he’s trying to become a professional fighter” Tyson Fury snubbed ITV’s proposition to visit his brother in the villa.
Now it has come to light that the ex-islander wants a year out of the ring to cash in on his newfound fame. A source says, “He has TV projects on the table, as well as lucrative branding deals, so wants to concentrate on those for a year so he can set himself up for the future.”
