Whilst Love Island 2018 turned out to be a total failure when it came to bringing together actual lasting couples, Love Island 2016 two series ago was quite a bit more successful - as both the winning and runner-up couples are still together three years on. Alex Bowen and Olivia Buckland - who came second on the show - became the first ever Love Island couple to get married when they wed in September 2018. Now, 2016 show winners Cara and Nathan are following in their footsteps and are set to soon tie the knot.

Cara and Nathan coupled up on the very first episode of their series of Love Island and stayed loyal to each other throughout the show, finally winning the £50,000 prize with 54% of the public vote. Despite this, the couple split in April 2017 after a series of public rows - just one month before Cara announced her surprise pregnancy. Vowing to co-parent their child, the ex-couple grew closer after attending scans together and officially announced that they were back together in September 2017.
Following the birth of their son Freddie-George in December 2017, the couple have gone from strength to strength and Nathan proposed to Cara in the Love Island villa where they'd first met in July 2018.
Whilst the couple have already revealed some details about their upcoming nuptials, they've kept tight-lipped on whether they've set a date until now...
