For the first time ever, viewers can decide on the first bombshell of the series. Announcing the news on their social media, show bosses made it clear that they’re going over and above for the audience's validation.

The Sun confirmed that viewers can vote for the first bombshell for free via the Love Island App. Two hot bombshells – Ellie Spence and Tom Clare – have been chosen as the candidates for the first entry. Love Island’s Twitter announcement read:
Who will be the first Bombshell? YOU decide 😯 Head to the app now to vote to send Ellie or Tom into the villa!
The bombshell who receives the highest number of votes would be chosen to enter the villa. The voting lines would close at 9pm on Friday the 13th of January.
Ellie Spence
Bombshell Ellie Spence is a 25-year-old Business Development executive from Norwich. In her pre-villa Interview, Ellie pitched herself and said:
I’m fun, caring, smart and know how to have a good time.
I feel like I’m the whole package; I’m flirty, forward and very confident.
Tom Clare
The 23-year-old is a semi-pro footballer and desperately wants to join Winter Love Island. Tom wants to find love and marry the next girl he gets into a relationship with. He revealed:
I’m a good laugh, a good vibe. I’m not snakey, I don’t like that kind of stuff. If I’ve got an issue with someone I’ll speak to them.
Since my ex-girlfriend, no one’s really come to me and I’ve thought, ‘Wow’.
Until I have that, I’m not really going to settle for less. Not in a bad way, but the next person I get with, I want to marry.
