Winter Love Island fans outraged over mistreatment of Ron: 'Just leave him alone!'

If someone would have told the Love Island fans that Ron Hall will be their favourite Islander by the end of the series, everyone would have thought it was a joke. However, the first partially sighted contestant managed to gather more than 300 people to come in his support.

Love Island fans complain to support Ron

According to The Sun, Ofcom received 245 complaints for Sunday night’s episode and a further 57 after Monday’s episode - all in support of Ron for the bullying he was subjected to by other Islanders. Both cases included complaints related to alleged bullying after Rosie twisted Ron’s advice and Samie’s ‘revelation’ of Ron’s game plan.

Watching the 25-year-old financial advisor get bullied by Islanders, fans took to social media to express their discomfort. One wrote:

The bullying of Ron on love island and the fake treatment of Lana is SO uncomfortable to watch this year.

Another two Tweeted:

It’s bullying pure and simple. Ron and Lana or Kai and Sanam to win. The rest are just nasty bullies.

#loveIsland right no I’m sorry but why is everyone bullying ron. It’s giving Tasha last year. There literally analysing everything the poor man says. Just leave him alone!

Ron possibly dislikes Lana, claims fans

Ron and Lana are the most searched Winter Love Island contestants and have a fair chance of winning the show. Meanwhile, a significant section on the internet believes that Ron dislikes Lana after his ‘sly’ remarks to her in the new baby challenge, reported The Sun.

Ron told Lana that she’s done nothing good for their baby and implied that her behaviour was ‘unattractive.’ Love Island fans were quick to analyse the subtext behind it and said:

Ron doesn't like Lana and I can't be convinced otherwise.

I’m sensing a bit of truth in all of Ron’s snarky remarks towards Lana with the baby.

Another one added:

I genuinely don’t know how people can sit and defend Ron he’s so belittling to Lana.
