Earlier this week, a TV insider claimed that the new series of Winter Love Island will be starting on January 16. Meaning, the contestant trying to find love this time will be sent to the new and ‘biggest yet’ South African Villa early next year. The Sun reported that apart from confirming the details, the source also added:

The villa is absolutely amazing, Maya is raring to go and this series’ contestants are looking to be the sexiest ever.
First contestant
It looks like one of these ‘sexiest’ ever contestants has already revealed himself. This comes after TOWIE legend Liam 'Gatsby' Blackwell fuelled the rumours that his baby brother – Eamon Blackwell – may be heading to the show.
The star shared a snippet of a news piece that claimed Eamon will be joining the 2023 winter series of the dating show on his Instagram. He tagged his little brother and added the eyes emoji as the caption. Closer claims that the gesture by the star is a hint enough and Eamon Blackwell is, indeed, the first ‘confirmed’ contestant of the second winter series of Love Island.
Brother’s confirmation
Liam Blackwell revealed in October this year that the show bosses are ‘very keen’ to cast his brother for the upcoming series. In fact, Eamon was approached by the Love Island producers last year but had to turn the offer down due to work commitments.
Liam told The Sun:
Love Island producers are very very keen to get Eamon on the next summer series.
They wanted him last year but where he lives in between New York and England, he wasn’t able to do it. He was approached to do Love Island last series.
He’ll do it – he said ‘for sure’, he’s a bit of a ladies' man and he’s looking to settle down now and I think it would be good.
