Love Island fans were left surprised when Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall became the first official couple of the series this year. Despite having their ups and downs, Lana and Ron have managed to be the top two most searched Winter Love Island contestants.

Could Lana and Ron win Winter Love Island?
Love Island viewers had already predicted Davide Sanclimenti and Ekin-Su as the winners by this time during the last series. However, things have been different for the winter edition. According to The Sun, Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall are the most popular Islanders in this series.
Data collected by Taboola suggests that Lana Jenkins was searched a whopping 966,000 times since the show started. Ron Hall, on the other hand, came to a close second with 834,000 page views.
While the public vote will decide who gets to win the show, stats reveal Lana and Ron have the highest chances. Dave Struzzi, Communications Leader at Taboola, said:
The numbers don't lie - Ron and Lana are currently nailed on to take the title.
They have clearly captured the nation’s hearts, but they need to keep a strong grip on the public's interest as other couples battle to steal their crown.

Lana and Ron – the first official couple
This comes after the 25-year-old makeup artist from Luton and the 25-year-old financial advisor from Essex became the first couple of the season to be official. The two had a difficult history but ended up being the most solid connection in the villa right now.
The two even beat Tanya and Shaq to the title who declared their love for each other way too soon at the beginning of the show. However, many Love Island fans also believe that the two don’t have any chemistry. One wrote on Twitter:
