New look for the new host
As Maya Jama replaces Laura Whitmore as the new host of ITV2’s dating reality show, ITV has debuted some very brief teaser trailers for the new run. The Sun reported, Maya Jama strikes a pose as the new host while a snippet of the Love Island theme tune plays in the background.
The caption reads:
New year, new series, new host. Let’s do this, @mayajama!
Maya stuns in a glam jumpsuit and plays up to her ‘cupid’ persona as she can be seen with a bow and arrow.
Teaser two
The second of the two teasers show a spinning pink bucking bronco emblazoned with a glittery silver love heart.RadioTimes confirms the second teaser also has familiar music. The Caption reads:
Are you ready to grab love by the horns? You know what's coming when you hear this noise.
This comes after it was revealed earlier that the ITV series would begin on Blue Monday – January 16. The day that’s supposed to be the highlight of winter gloom which also brings in the post-festive season depression for some people. A source claimed:
Love Island bosses have planned for the show to start on Blue Monday which is bound to give fans a massive lift.
Although the official date for the start of the series has not yet been disclosed.
