Over the past year, Dave Hunchak has made friends with the ground squirrels living on his property outside of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada.
During the recent period of confinement, he decided to give his furry friends a place to come where they can pass the time, and the photos Hunchak captured could not be more adorable.
Dave spent the better part of 100 hours crating a miniature saloon in perfect detail, from the bar stools and old-timey piano to bottles of alcohol complete with labels. The resulting photographs are too adorable not to share!
Dave said it only took 15 minutes until his first customer arrived, however, it was more like theft than a purchase. He was hoping the squirrel would stay and enjoy the ambience while consuming the peanut he left out for him, however, the little critter just grabbed the nut and left. His solution was to lay down some peanut butter so that they would stay long enough for him to take a picture.
Dave's wife isn't as thrilled about his project as he is, due to the fact that these frequent patrons also like to spend time in her garden. So he's putting future developments on hold until he can effectively protect her garden.
