As reported by Mirror, here are some prophecies Nostradamus made regarding the coming year 2023. It has to be noted that he did not specify time and dates for most of his prophecies, but the report is based on the most likely estimate of what the timeline of his prophecies could be.
There could be a great war
The report quotes a line from Nostradamus’ 1555 book which states,
Seven months great war, people dead through evil.
Rouen, Evreux shall not fall to the King
The prediction of war would not be a complete surprise if it comes true, given the current geo-political conflicts in Europe. As per the prediction, Rouen seems to be the place which would remain safe in case of a conflict.
A celestial fire
Nostradamus also predicted that there would be a celestial fire strong enough to wipe out the existing world order and establish something new, suggesting that 'the fire' is a metaphor for some kind of ‘end of the world’ or ‘doomsday’ situation. The exact phrase alluded to Nostradamus is,
Celestial fire on the Royal edifice.
Civil unrest and revolts
As per Nostradamus,
Sooner and later you will see great changes made, dreadful horrors and vengeances.
People interpreting this prediction by the astrologer are reading it within the context of the economic hardships so many people are experiencing due to the cost of living and energy crisis. The sheer scale of economic inequalities might push people on the brink of survival to revolt against the rich and powerful.
Global warming
The following prediction by Nostradamus is thought to be a reference to the state of the environment and the increasing temperature in the globe due to climate change.
Although the topic of global warming is nothing new, there could be further temperature increases and rising sea levels in 2023, according to Nostradamus' predictions.
Like the sun the head shall sear the shining sea: The Black Sea’s living fish shall all but boil.
When Rhodes and Genoa half-starved shall be, the local folk to cut them up shall toil.
With the world’s ice-caps melting and the rise of ocean levels, the above words by Nostradamus seem very relevant to the current state of this planet.
