Doreen, an 81-year-old retiree, was about to withdraw money from her account at an ATM. At that moment, a woman who looked pregnant approached her with a piece of paper. Doreen told her to leave her alone, but the woman got in front of her to rob her.

The footage shows the assailant pushing the old woman to take her card and withdraw her money. But Doreen, who wasn't about to let that happen, grabbed the woman by her hair and neck, preventing the thief from going through with her plan.

She wasn't expecting me, I tell you. I thought, 'No, you're not having my money, I've worked hard for that.'
The assailant was crying and shouting when, really, the old lady had more reason to be upset.
Doreen has had two heart attacks as a result of this traumatic experience. Regardless, she should be very proud of herself for being so brave in the face of danger. That thief messed with the wrong retiree!
