It took more than a month in the hospital for Amy to recover. Unfortunately, the damage to her brain was almost irreversible and in a video posted by her parents, we can see the young woman in a wheelchair, weak and barely able to speak.
This video was made to educate the young about the dangers of taking drugs.
After being in a critical condition for weeks, Amy started the long road to recovery.
In a video posted by her family in 2016, Amy was seen taking her first steps out of her wheelchair - an amazing feat as doctors had feared she would never walk again.
