Tony, when he was only an infant, was subject to abuse at the hands of his parents and was placed in the hands of the medical staff at Evelina London at just 41-days-old. Due to his injuries, Tony's legs were amputated in 2017.

Luckily, around that time, Tony was placed into foster care at the hands of two caring and loving parents, Paula and Mark Hudgell who undoubtedly saw his potential, gentle nature and strength, at a young age.
Tony's mom Paula commented proudly on her brave little boy:
Despite having a terrible start in life, Tony is such a bright, loving and determined boy. The courage he shows every day is a constant source of inspiration. Evelina London is like a second home for Tony and the staff are like family. We are so happy to be able to pay back some of the gratitude we feel towards those who’ve looked out for Tony over the years.
While Paula and Mark are surely inspired by their little boy, Tony, says he was inspired by another stellar fundraiser, Sir Captain Tom Moore. Captain Tom as he's become affectionately known by his community after raised over £33 million for the NHS by walking the lengths of his garden before 100th birthday. Later he was even knighted by the Queen.
