Kimberly Santleben-Stiteler is from LaCoste, Texas. At the age of 43, she organised a ‘divorce party’ by inviting her family and close friends. To end her evening, she blew up her wedding dress using dynamite, as told by the Central Daily Times.
An explosive divorce
Originally, Kimberly wanted to burn her wedding dress. It was her father and stepfather who had the idea to load it up with 22 pounds of explosives. To celebrate her new single life, she organised a huge party with her family, and shot her wedding dress with a rifle, making it fly into pieces! Why did she want to do all this? Because ‘it represented a lie,’ she told the Centre Daily Times. Her sister told the media that the blast was heard at least 15 miles away!
Use explosives with caution
Very proud to have exploded her wedding dress, Kimberly Santleben-Stiteler decided to share her joy since she switched her Facebook profile picture to a photo of the explosion! She still wanted to warn other divorced women who would want to do the same thing as she did to the Centre Daily Times:
I would only recommend it to people who know how to use that kind of stuff.
