Lina Medina was five years old when her mother took her to the doctor to have her swollen belly checked out. At first, the doctors thought she had a big abdominal tumour.

None of them even considered the possibility of her being pregnant, as Lina was just five years old. But things took a turn when, during the consultation, her mother mentioned that Lina had actually been menstruating since the age of three (a condition called precocious puberty that's rare but does happen).
So they ran all the necessary tests and confirmed the news: Lina was pregnant. Doctors monitored the pregnancy as it progressed without any major inconveniences. Of course, Lina had to give birth by C-section, as her five-year-old pelvis was not prepared for a natural birth.
With the confirmation of the pregnancy came questions about the child's father. Lina's reluctance to share any information on him confirmed everyone's worst suspicions.
