If you want to know what your odds of ending up in prison are, there's things that can indicate if you are likely to go to prison.
Anda former prison inmate has shared a 'prison resilience' quiz that can tell you if you could survive prison.
Quiz to determine 'prison resilience'
The former prison inmate, who shares content on her TikTok @prison_story, captioned her video saying,
A completely serious and scientific quiz that will determine your prison resilience
She underlines how the way you look or the way you were raised doesn't determine whether or not you could survive prison. She then shares the quiz, where each question is worth a point. So, at the end, the higher the points you have, the more likely you are to survive prison.
Here's the gist of the questions she asks:
- Do you have someone on the outside who loves you and who would send you financial and emotional support?
- Do you have a special skill or talent (eg braiding hair, or doing hair, or art)? These are great ways to offer value and make yourself useful, while earning respect.
- Are you a fast-learner and can pick up these useful skills fast?
- Do you like to read?
- Can you sleep through loud noise or disturbances?
- Can you take directions from others?
- Are you comfortable stripping off your clothes in front of others?
Reactions to the video
She also adds some of the things you don't get a point for. If you are a picky eater or a light sleeper, if you are modest with your body or you have a short fuse: these can all be a liability in prison.
If you get more than 5 points, the TikToker says, you are likely to survive prison.
The video convinced some viewers that they aren't made for prison. One person states,
I would not last 10 minutes in prison!
Another chimes in,
Humble enough to admit I won’t be able to survive the first 24 hours
Another comments,
This was surprisingly validating. And my art skills would finally be useful
Apparently, some people had already thought about their in-prison careers. One such viewer writes,
I’m a criminal defense lawyer. I’ve always thought I’d set up a little jail house practice if it ever happened to me.
