It was just an ordinary day for Katie and her daughter, Madelyne when something really quite unexplainable happened and left mum Katie understandably spooked. As kids love to do, little Madelyne was playing on her phone as she experimented with Snapchat filters.

Disguised as the Harley Quinn filter, the recording shows Madelyne uttering, "cheeky, little..." and before she finishes, an eery voice unexpectedly says "monkey". The little girl then swiftly repeats the word.
Of course, Katie was left unsurprisingly alarmed at her discovery, showing the clip to her mum, Sarah Mercer, 49. Sarah then confirmed that it sounded just like the voice of her late husband and Madelyne's grandfather, Peter, who passed away from lung cancer at the age of 63, two year's earlier.
"It is a bit freaky but I really do believe it's him and it's so comforting to know he's with her and looking after her," Katie comments.
Katie also explains that this may not have been the first time her daughter had an encounter with her passed grandfather: "I tried to tell her it's just the house going to sleep because that's what my dad used to tell me but she replied 'no, it's the ghost who sleeps in my bedroom'. That really freaked me out."
Despite the spook, Katie feels reassured that this is Peter interacting with her daughter, "it's so comforting to know he's with her and looking after her."
