Kidnapped in the Var 11 years ago, Camille was found in Switzerland
Camilla Chauvet has been found safe and sound. In 2011, her mother, Priscilla Majani kidnapped her 5-year-old daughter. Tried three times by the judicial court of Toulon for ‘non-representation of a minor’, ‘slanderous denunciation’ and ‘child abduction’, she was sentenced to 6 years in prison, explains BFMTV, a French television programme.
Camille’s mother disagreed with the court decision, as she wanted sole custody of her daughter. The military engineer then decided to abduct her daughter and take her to an unknown destination.
In the end, Priscilla Majani was intercepted during a routine border check in Switzerland almost 11 years after disappearing. She has been provisionally detained. Extradition proceedings are to be initiated.

Camille’s father almost gave up hope
It was like a shock to me.
Camille’s father, Alain Chauvet reveals to Var-Matin, a French magazine.
I had to wait eleven years and I learnt from my lawyer that she had been found. I was ready to give up everything, it was such a weight on my shoulders.
Now 74-years-old, Alain hopes to be able to reconnect with his beloved daughter.
I'm very afraid of what I'm going to discover. I'm afraid of being confronted with a blatant refusal from Camille in regards to what’s been put into her head over the years. I know very well that it's going to be extremely difficult.
Alain is still relieved to have found his daughter and he hopes that justice will finally be given.
