On Monday 15 August, an assault took place in the suburbs of Paris. According to Le Figaro, a young woman had filed a complaint after being sexually assaulted in the street by a man who claimed to be visually impaired. As the victim was walking along the street at around 5:40 PM, the man asked her for help to get to a street further on.

Her torment was stopped when a neighbour, alerted by her screams, intervened. When he arrived at the scene, the young woman was lying on the ground with the man on top of her. Before he decided to run away, stealing her handbag.
The police did not drive her to the hospital, but they did see to her injuries. The young woman had skin ripped off her fingers and face as a result of the attack. Her complaint was received by the respective city's public prosecutor's office, and the investigation was handed over to the city's Kremlin-Bicêtre police station.
