One very creative mother decided that a fun educational tool for her children would be a little backyard experiment making 'elephant toothpaste'. However, after uploading a photo of their homeschool science, she was shocked to discover that people thought they were playing with sex toys.

Mum of two, Emma Holmes decided to try out the experiment involving hydrogen peroxide, yeast and warm water. The result of the reaction between the ingredients looks like a toothpaste coming out of a tube, big enough for an elephant.
Proud of her families science endeavours, Holmes uploaded some photos to Twitter and the post went viral with more than 10,000 retweets but for all the wrong reasons.
Twitter users went wild commenting on how they had to look twice after believing they initially thought they were looking at sex toys. One user commented:

Another commented:
I need my eyes testing.
Had to click in and zoom cos I was 100% certain from first glance it was something else and a whole different experiment 🙈😂

After Emma had realised her x-rated blunder the mum came up with some cheeky responses herself. After being asked what she did to create the experiment she replied:
Two tablespoons warm water, one teaspoon yeast, food colouring, hydrogen peroxide - either 3% or 6% dish soap, empty plastic bottle. Boom - homemade dildo looking mess.
She also agreed when another commenter stated that viewers must have their minds stuck in the gutter after being home for three months:
Clearly they've had nothing else to do in lockdown but to bash themselves raw!

The paralegal from Leeds commented on the whole situation:
It was so funny, but so surreal. It has had like six million views on Twitter or something, the internet is a strange place. I honestly didn't see it at first, but now everyone has mentioned it, I can't unsee it. Twitter has corrupted my mind. It just so happened that we used red food colouring and it turned it pink which made it worse, if it wasn't that colour it wouldn't look so bad.
She continued:
I thought nobody wants to be stay inside doing English and Maths when the weather is like this, so I decided to take them out and do something fun. I couldn't believe the reaction, I'm only on Twitter to follow updates on the Leeds United matches and to follow a few legal blogs. But one innocent picture has gone worldwide it has been mental. I have been tweeted by people all around the world.
