There is no end to the baby news for royals. Princess Sofia of Sweden, the Queen's granddaughter Zara Tindall and, most recently, Duchess Meghan are expecting a baby this year. Princess Eugenie, on the other hand, has just become a mum. Now there are surprising words from Norway: Mette-Marit talks openly about having children again in a podcast.

Mette-Marit would like to be a mother again
The Crown Princess already has three children. From her first marriage, she had her first son Marius Borg Høiby at the age of 23. Mette-Marit has been married to Prince Haakon of Norway since 2001. Together they had two children, Ingrid Alexandra and Sverre Magnus.
But in her friend Else Kåss Furuseth's podcast, she passionately talks about motherhood once again, talking about her early years as a mother: 'I would do anything in the whole world to get that time back.' She goes on to say:
This bond that is created is the best of all. It is one of life's greatest gifts to experience; time as a mother.
Coronavirus also gives the Royals a hard time
So will the Norwegians have another baby? At the moment, it doesn't look like there will be, because Mette-Marit also tells us how much the current lockdown and the coronavirus measures are causing her and her family problems.
She confesses that she has become increasingly stressed in recent weeks and sometimes takes it out on her family. This also has an effect on her love life. 'Well, a year after coronavirus, I don't really know if we still flirt like we did a year ago,' she quips.
But flirty or not—the romance seems to have endured with Mette-Marit and Haakon in everyday life.
Haakon is such a fine person. He is really very good at romance...
