We have all been longing for our favouritetakeaways, and while most of them have long been available on Uber Eats, some have been looking for an excuse to pop in their car and hit the drive-thru. Since McDonald'shas started to reopen its doors all over the world it has also brought with it queues that take hours to get through, leaving many customers a bit on the 'hangry' side.
One woman fell victim to the harassment of one of these ravenously grumpy customers in Canberra, Australia. Our hero was ordering her meal when it appears she must have been taking too long as the person behind her started to lay on the horn.
In an effort to call out the obviously rude behaviour, the women hatched out a plan to deal out some well-earned revenge. She posted to Facebook detailing the incident:
I was in a long McDonald's drive-thru this morning and the young lady behind me honked her horn because I was taking too long to place my order. I thought to myself, 'take the high road'. So when I paid for my food at the first window, I paid for both our orders.
She paid for the angry customer's vehicle, which must have caught them by surprise as the other driver leaned out of their car for an embarrassed thank you wave:
The lad at the counter must have told her what I'd done as she leaned out the window, waved and mouthed 'thank you', obviously embarrassed I had repaid her rudeness with kindness.
But, just in case 'killing with kindness' isn't your style, the story gets even better:
So when I got to the second window I showed both receipts and took her food too. Now she has to go back to the end of the queue and start all over again.
Well... that'll learn ya.
